Embark on a luxurious 6-day adventure through Uganda’s iconic Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park. This exclusive tour offers a rare opportunity to track endangered mountain gorillas in the misty jungles of Bwindi, followed by thrilling wildlife viewing across the savannah plains and water bodies of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
To maximize your comfort and minimize travel time, the itinerary includes convenient domestic flights. You’ll fly from Entebbe or Kajjansi to Queen Elizabeth National Park, avoiding long road transfers. From there, you will connect to Kisoro Airport, and later return to Entebbe or Kajjansi via Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip.
During your stay in Bwindi, you’ll enjoy premium accommodation at Gorilla Heights Safari Lodge, Buhoma Lodge, or Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge. In Queen Elizabeth National Park, unwind at the elegant Mweya Safari Lodge or Elephant Plains Lodge, both offering stunning views and exceptional service.
By the time you arrive at the airport, our company representative will already be there to receive you. Meet and greet, then they will lead you to the vehicle after the briefing about your safari. Drive to your lodge in Entebbe, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Your safari driver will pick you up from your hotel after having morning breakfast and drive to Entebbe or Kajjansi airstrip for your flight to Kasese. Depending on the location of your accommodation, you could fly to Kasese or Mweya airstrip. On arrival, our company representative and safari guide for this tour will transfer you to your lodge, have lunch, and relax.
This afternoon, you will head out for an evening game drive. The exploration offers a chance to catch sight of elephants, leopards, and hyenas, among others. Buffaloes and Uganda kobs are common.
Return to the lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.
You will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and set off for a game drive in the Kasenyi. As you drive there, you may spot some animals along the way. This is another day of exploring the plains with chances of spotting animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, waterbucks, and more. After about 4 hours of the drive, you will return to the lodge and freshen up. Have lunch and go for a boat ride on the famous Kazinga channel. It is an interesting 2-hour launch trip to watch various wildlife along the shores, including crocodiles, buffalo, warthogs, and lots of bird species. The water channel is home to a huge population of hippos, and you will watch them throughout the trip. Then get back to the lodge and relax.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Kihihi or Kisoro. Wherever you fly to, our company representative will receive and pick you up from the airstrip to your lodge.
Duration of domestic flight: 1-1.5 hours, road transfer: approximately 2 hours
Optional evening activities: nature walk, birding, and Batwa community visit
After breakfast, you will be taken to the park headquarters for a short but important briefing from the park rangers and guides, after which you will be allocated the gorilla family to visit. Enter the forest and start your trek (please note that a drive to the starting point of your trek may be required).
Coming up close to endangered Mountain Gorillas in the forests of Uganda is a thrilling lifetime experience that surely ranks on most people’s travel bucket lists. Trekking at a high altitude through dense forests and up steep terrain can be challenging, especially in the African heat, but the hour you get to spend with these gentle giants is worth every step.
Only 8 guests may visit one gorilla family at a time. One trek per day/ family.
Gorilla Tracking is managed fully by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, with a head ranger, security personnel (who are armed as a precaution against wildlife, among others), and trackers, with optional porters, who walk with the guests until a family is located. Once the gorillas are found, the rangers only take the guests closer to the gorillas, and your viewing time commences, which is one hour.
Porters – they are from the local communities, rotated for revenue sharing, which goes directly to them. Recommended at least 1 per person for trekking. Fees are usually additional to your tour and paid directly.
Included: Gorilla Tracking
After a sumptuous breakfast at your lodge and check out. The safari driver transfers you to the airport or airstrip to fly to Entebbe or Kajjansi. When you arrive there, our company representative will receive you and drive you to the airport for your flight back home.

I found the service and response of this travel agency to be excellent. Easily 5-stars. The Travel guide, who doubled as a driver too, was time conscious and a great advisor when it came to planning and managing our time, since we were travelling from Gulu through the parkThis tour was over-the-top fantastic, Our guide/Driver-Arafat, spoke fluent English that was clear, this made the tour "standard." He was also very knowledgeable about the different animal species, and explained in detail, that was excellent Arafat was friendly and courteous, and he consistently slowed down just to explain and give more information about the animals and giving us enough time to take pictures and videos! making it a very enjoyable tour And, I'd do it again "for the experience."Date of experience: March 2023Posted on Franziska73211 October 2022Verified Amazing Experience with a great team!
